When you start the planning process with your designer it is important to discuss how you might want to incorporate social responsibility, cultural engagement or community interaction into your travel. Most of our partners have a non-profit element that support local communities. Understanding your interests upfront can assist us in our recommendations. Whether you want to make financial donation or prefer an experience that shows the efforts first hand, we can ensure your contribution is impactful and meaningful.

Slow down and take your time. This is true now more than ever but when planning a trip to the African continent it helps to have as much time as possible. Not only does it take a long time to get there, but traveling between points can take some time as well. The journey is part of the experience and trying to jam too much in one go is never recommended. Whenever possible, I try to schedule a stop over in Europe on my way to or from (or both). This allows me to break up those long flights. Also, I get a two-for-the-price-of-one trip when all is said in done.
